Qualia

Qualia is a Brisbane-based B2B edtech startup building an AI-powered Socratic learning platform for Australian and New Zealand universities. Instead of spoon-feeding students with answers, Qualia asks questions, guiding students through their own reasoning on coursework rather than doing the thinking for them. Each session builds a verifiable record of how a student's reasoning develops over time, giving universities a way to evidence learning without resorting to surveillance or blanket AI bans. Qualia is currently running live pilots in political science and mathematics courses at the University of Queensland, and is part of the 2026 ilab Chapter 2 accelerator cohort.
