Ella Petite

Ella Petite is UQ Ventures' Community Partnerships Coordinator, building collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to support the broad range of entrepreneurship programs at UQ. With over 17 years of experience across the music industry, political communications, technology start-up's, IT, and creative and professional services, Ella’s career is defined by a unique ability to craft strategic narratives that connect brands with culture, build communities, and drive commercial outcomes.
Ella maintained an extensive career as a music publicist for the best part of 14 years, working closely with artists, labels, and festivals across Australia, including high-profile roles with Mushroom Group and Positive Feedback working with both Australian and international artists. She later moved into political communications before moving into the start-up and innovation space, where she developed a deep understanding of founder ecosystems and early-stage ventures in her role as Head of Marketing and Communications at Innovation Bay.
Prior to her role at UQ Ventures, Ella spent around 18 months consulting and contracting to various businesses across the scope of marketing, publicity, communications and partnerships. Known for her thoughtful, impact-driven approach and ability to navigate both creative and commercial worlds, Ella continues to advise creatives, start-ups and purpose-led organisations on strategic communications.
