Megan Forrest (née Short) is the Ventures Manager at UQ Ventures and leads a star-studded team to develop and deliver a suite of programs that support UQ students across all disciplines and study levels to develop their entrepreneurial mindset skills.

Having worked across multiple sectors including consultancy, higher education, and state government, Megan has led a variety of projects in the innovation, startup, ed-tech, and international education space. Through her work, Megan has delivered a variety of programs and projects including leading Study Queensland’s Flagship Talent and Employability Program called Launch U to support over 1,000 students to launch global careers as well as leading the gen[in] state-wide innovation challenge supporting over 3,000 students to develop their entrepreneurial skills and mindset.

Having worked in diverse roles, from sustainability consultancy, to delivering institution-wide online learning strategies and leading the state-wide innovation and talent initiatives, Megan recognises the importance of leveraging innovative technologies to support young changemakers to succeed.
