As Senior Manager, Jo supports the Ventures team through strategic management, strategy and engagement, program design and evaluation, partnership formation, and supporting strategic entrepreneurship planning and activities.
Previously Jo worked as Ventures Program Consultant which involved collaboration for the development of an innovation centre in Hanoi with Aus4Innovation and the Vietnam Institute of Science Technology and Innovation (Ministry of Science and Technology).
Jo has an extensive background in Design Thinking, service design, and engagement with businesses and the public sector.
Jo worked with the Australian Public service for a number of years, including as Executive Director in Strategic Design, Research and Intelligence at the ATO. Jo has established multiple research and human-centred design teams and led large scale, public sector change projects, managed an innovation lab (Simulation Centre - ATO) and developed the design capability and training material for administrative design in the public sector.
Jo completed her PhD at UQ, focused on service and experience measurement, including work on the measurement of impact of complex design on citizens.
Currently, Jo is the founder of a digital ideation platform, SparkTank, and was a part of the iLab Accelerator program last year.
