Singapore Startup Adventure

A unique overseas innovation and entrepreneurship experience based at some of Singapore's best technology startups.

Spend four weeks alongside Singapore's energetic and experienced innovators. This year's program will take place from 22 June - 20 July.

Applications for 2019 have closed.

Watch: Singapore Startup Adventure partner, Amra Naidoo from The Asia Accelerator, explains what you can expect from interning in Singapore.

Over four weeks, you will work alongside energetic and experienced innovators. You will learn first-hand the process of founding, investing and growing an early stage business in the global startup ecosystem.

  • Pre-departure.
The prep begins with a workshop at UQ Idea Hub, including an introduction to entrepreneurship in Singapore, cultural preparation workshops leading up to Singapore arrival.
  • Week 1.
Arrive in Singapore, where you’ll be matched with a local startup and meet your mentors for the month. No time to lose! Get to work!
  • Week 2.
Now you’ve settled in with your new favourite startup, it’s a great time to attend all the extra workshops we’ve organised. Meet all the movers and shakers in the local Singapore entrepreneurship community and start dreaming big.
  • Week 3.
Continue to hustle with matched startups in between guided tech tours, a raft of opportunities to rub shoulders with local startup personalities and checking out all of the hottest local startup venues.
  • Week 4.
It’s time to farewell your mentors, new colleagues and sponsors with a wrap-up event. This is your last chance to trade business cards and make an impact, so pop on that smile and get pumped!
  • Debrief.
Once you’re back home, we’ll all catch up to chat about the program, your experiences and to share all our tips for leveraging the global contacts you have made.

You may be in a position to undertake some programming or technical work, however, most students will shadow the founder of the startup they are matched with.
