Announcing the 2025 UQ Ventures Ambassadors

17 Feb 2025

We are incredibly excited to introduce the new cohort of Ventures Ambassadors—a group of passionate, students ready to represent and promote Ventures across the University.

These ambassadors will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional experiences across all Ventures programs, helping to inspire and support the next generation of innovators.

The Ventures team received over 150 applications from students across diverse disciplines, each bringing unique skills, perspectives, and enthusiasm for innovation.

Gav Parry, UQ Ventures Manager said, "It’s another year of impressive students stepping up to support the work Ventures does. It’s a real testament to how far Ventures has come in building a culture where giving back is just part of what we do."

"Ventures Ambassadors represent every faculty across UQ."

"We want students from all disciplines to know that Ventures is for everyone—whether you’re working on your own project or keen to innovate from within an organisation. Ventures is the place to explore, create, and make things happen.”

They join a proud tradition of previous ambassador teams who have laid the foundation, and they’re ready to build on that legacy with fresh ideas and a bold vision for what’s next.

As ambassadors, they’ll lead engagement within their faculties, assist with program delivery, and act as the face of Ventures within their networks. Most importantly, they’ll be champions of innovation, helping their peers discover the power of entrepreneurial thinking.

The Ventures team are excited to see what this talented group will achieve in 2025. Stay tuned as we share their stories and the impact they’ll make throughout the year!
