The UQ Entrepreneurship and Innovation Awards showcase and celebrate the breadth of entrepreneurship.

Ranging from student entrepreneurs to research-based startups that offer solutions to local and global challenges to create positive change.

The UQ Entrepreneurship and Innovation Awards celebrate the great success stories of entrepreneurship across the university, extending into industry and our communities.

The Awards will be presented by The University of Queensland Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Deborah Terry AC on Wednesday 21 August celebrating World Entrepreneurship Day.

Award winners of each category will receive $1,000 in prize money. Nominate for the following five categories.

Award categories

UQ Startup of the Year
This award recognises the exceptional startups which have been developed through UQ.
UQ Student Entrepreneur of the Year
This award recognises current UQ students, or recent graduates, who have developed entrepreneurial ventures while at UQ.
UQ Mentor of the Year
This award recognises the exceptional value and support which mentors provide to students and UQ entrepreneurial activities.
UQ Social Enterprise of the Year
This award recognises the amazing work done by UQ startups or students to support the community and directly generates social change or impacts a social cause.
FaBA Food and Beverage Startup of the Year
This award recognises the exceptional startups within the food and beverage sector within Australia.
