Ventures LeadHers Staff Day

Supporting emerging women leaders in the university to reach their potential. 

During the half-day program, you will network and learn from those leading in their fields and develop the skills needed to take your first steps in your entrepreneurial and leadership journey.

The Ventures LeadHers Staff Day has been designed specially to foster a tighter network of women UQ professionals. You'll be a part of a community of UQ staff that lift each other beyond the program and support each other through peer mentoring. Open to all UQ staff.

  • 9:30-10:30am LeadHers Stories: Overcoming Professional Challenges
    Hear from inspirational leaders from industry and UQ followed by Q&A. Panellists include: Erin Searle, Councillor Penny Wolff, Nadine Zrinzo.

  • 10:30-11:10am Financial Literacy Mini Session and 360 Health.
    UniSuper will deliver a session on empowering you through financial confidence and leadership.

  • 11:10-11:40am Morning Tea and networking 

    11:40am-1:10pm Performance Optimisation workshop with Dr Jemma King 
    Dr Jemma King is an Honorary Research Fellow at the UQ School of Psychology and the founder and director of Biopsychanalytics Pty Ltd (BPA), a consulting firm she established eight years ago. BPA specialises in Advanced Human Performance Optimisation and has developed scientifically validated methodologies to reduce stress, burnout, manage complex change, educate on negotiation, influence, and improve behavioural outcomes in high-performing individuals, teams, and organisations. 

  • 1:10-1:20pm  Gender Equality at UQ with Dawn Osborne

  • 1:20-1:30pm Event debrief and consolidation of learning
