Tomas is a UQ Ventures Officer and works to develop, implement and deliver on student programs. 

Previously, Tomas was the Manager for the Ventures Discovery team. He lead and coordinated the design and delivery of entrepreneurship and design thinking programs for High Schools. In his time with Ventures he has engaged with over 8,000 students from around the world and inspired and mentored dozens of them to pursue their passions and start their businesses.

Before joining the Ventures team, he studied a Master of Business at UQ, specialising in Social Impact & Sustainability and has won multiple awards for his research and engagement programs.

Before moving to Australia, he occupied corporate finance positions in multinational companies such as Accenture and IBM. He is also a senior facilitator with more than 12 years of experience across multiple sectors (personal development, sports and education).

Tomas is passionate about solving social and environmental issues through entrepreneurial initiatives. This comes through in his work with social enterprises and young social entrepreneurs to help grow the community and the impact it can have in the world.

Tomas is from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He doesn’t Tango, but he knows a thing or two about barbecues.
