As a Ventures Program Officer, David focuses on developing entrepreneurial mindsets in UQ students by facilitating design thinking, agile project management, and pitching and storytelling workshops across all UQ faculties. David also delivers the Ventures Validate and KWM #transformlaw programs. He is driven to keep up-to-date with cutting-edge information and share his learnings with UQ students.

Before joining UQ Ventures, he completed his Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Biotechnology at UQ. While completing his degree, David was part of QUT’s Centre of Future Enterprise as a Digital Strategy Lead running Research Innovation Sprints for divisions within the Queensland Government Department of Environment and Science.

David was born in Canada — during the COVID pandemic, he was part of the nascent team of a Canadian health-tech startup providing same-day testing for communities and businesses like Netflix. David was published for the microbiology research the startup lab team completed in microbiology during this period.

David is now used to the weather in Brisbane and loves playing soccer in the evening once the sun has set.
