Gav is UQ Ventures Manager, working to develop UQ’s suite of entrepreneurship programs and events that increase opportunities for students.
Gav has spent the last decade in the music industry, touring Australia with artists like Rufus Du Sol and Ballpark Music. He has worked on records streamed over 50 million times and started a label with one of its releases sampled by Grammy-nominated PARTYNEXTDOOR. He also launched ‘Your Favourite Team’, a platform focused on educating the next generation of music creators.
He went on to co-found Loose Change Publishing with LA-based Vitalic Noise (Bag Raiders, Hermitude, Miami Horror), before transitioning into tech, startups, and innovation. Gav was Head of Artist Relations at SURREAL, Director of Community at Innovation Bay, and led external innovation and community for Australia at global entertainment company Entain (Ennovate). In early 2024, Gav brought his experience within entertainment and innovation together by launching ‘The Centre for Arts, Sports, and Technology’ (CAST), a membership organisation driving innovation within the entertainment industry.
