The University of Queensland (UQ) Ventures ilab Accelerator Pitch Night First Prize Winner, MyHive, is keeping loved ones connected with their up-and-coming community-powered support and communication app.
Founded on the belief that people have an innate desire to help, MyHive enables users to receive emergency assistance in minutes, not hours, from trusted members of their community. By leveraging real-time location-based alerts and a network of verified helpers, MyHive ensures support is always within reach, whether it's for an urgent situation or a simple helping hand.
Our ilab Pitch Night on 10 Apriil, saw MyHive and 9 of their fellow ilab startups, pitch their innovations to a maximum audience at The Princess Theatre. As part of the first cohort of 2025, two additional awards were presented during the event. One notable addition was the Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR) Choice Award, introduced to celebrate stand-out oerformances by one of the startups throughout the three-month program and their collaboration with the UQ Ventures EiRs.
