Join us for a special introductory series of workshops about UQ Venture's ilab Accelerator 2021 where you will learn all about the ilab Accelerator experience, its benefits, requirements, expectation and commitment. ilab provides one of the most comprehensive startup accelerator experiences in the country that will help you fast track your early-stage startup into an investor-ready, and these workshops will give you the opportunity to learn more about the details of the program and to ask any questions you may have and to really learn if this is the opportunity for you. You will hear from both ilab staff and previous ilab accelerator graduates.

Anna HendraAnna Hendra, Co-founder of Ocean Orchards, ilab alum 2019

Anna Hendra is the CEO and co-founder of Ocean Orchards. She has a background in Chemical Engineering and is passionate about all things sustainability. She co-founded her startup after graduating from university to change what we see as food and develop options that will make both people and the planet healthier. 

 

 

 

 

Ashley BaxterAshley Baxter, Founder of Monty, ilab alum 2019, winner of the Shane Chidgzey Young Entrepreneurs Prize 2019

Ashley graduated from UQ in 2018 with dual degrees in Business Management and IT. She was always passionate about sustainability and when she found out about the potential impact and opportunities of compost, she felt inspired to start Monty Compost Co, a startup developing small-scale composting monitoring technology. 

 

 

Bryan GreenhamBryan Greenham, Co-founder of Valiant Space, ilab alum 2020

Bryan is a mechatronics engineer that is passionate about space and making life multiplanetary. In 2018, he founded the student organisation, UQ Space, and led it to win the inaugural 2019 Australian Universities Rocket Competition. He has worked for Black Sky Aerospace as an engineer and Tesla in sales. When he isn’t working on rockets, he can usually be found hiking or exploring around Brisbane with his wife Eloisa and his dog, Cosmo. Bryan is also currently studying a Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering (honours) at the University of Queensland.

Ian Ling Ian Ling, Co-founder of Kurin Organics, ilab alum 2020, winner of the Shane Chidgzey Young Entrepreneurs Prize 2020

Ian Ling is a UQ Alumni, with a double major Bachelor's in Business Management (Marketing, International Business). Prior to Kurin, Ian began his entrepreneurial journey in Singapore at the age of 19. Obsessed with solving problems, he provided a solution to long waiting times and crowded food courts in campuses with a food stall specialising in street food and beverages. It began a hit, generating $200,000 in annual revenue. Since arriving in Australia (2016), Ian has been actively engaging the international and business community, and currently sits as a director on multiple business associations and community groups. In his spare time, Ian enjoys roasting specialty coffee and trying coffee from all around the world.
