The University of Queensland (UQ) Ventures ilab Accelerator Pitch Night First Prize Winner, MyHive, is keeping loved ones connected with their up-and-coming community-powered support and communication app.
Founded on the belief that people have an innate desire to help, MyHive enables users to receive emergency assistance in minutes, not hours, from trusted members of their community. By leveraging real-time location-based alerts and a network of verified helpers, MyHive ensures support is always within reach, whether it's for an urgent situation or a simple helping hand.
Before an audience of over 250 attendees, MyHive, alongside 9 other startups, pitched their innovations at The Princess Theatre. As part of the first cohort of 2025, two additional awards were presented during the event. One notable addition was the Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR) Choice Award, introduced to highlight a startup’s performance throughout the three-month program and their collaboration with the UQ Ventures EiRs.
