Become a global thinker and learn first-hand knowledge from innovative startup communities.

The Ventures Tel Aviv Startup AdVenture is a four-week in-person learning experience within a Tel Aviv startup, small business, or non-profit organisation.

Selected UQ student entrepreneurs will learn alongside some of Tel Aviv's best startups. Learning and observing alongside other innovators, you will learn first-hand the process of founding, investing and growing an early-stage business.

Your AdVenture

What to expect?

  • Engage in the daily operation and function of the startup alongside energetic and experienced innovators
  • Undertake projects (agreed with your startup) to extend your skills and capabilities, learning from first-hand experience
  • Network with global startups and leaders in innovation and gain valuable insight into the Tel Aviv startup ecosystem
  • Develop your entrepreneurial skills with a program of workshops delivered by UQ Ventures
  • Collaborate with your peers and build your connections through team building activities and social activities

Participation details

Cost

If accepted to the Startup AdVenture you are required to pay a non-refundable AUD$89 to support administrative and event costs. The remaining cost of your participation will be covered through a UQ grant.

Eligibility

To apply you must:

  • Be 18 years or over
  • Be available for and ready to commit to the full length of the program
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 4.0
  • Remain enrolled at UQ for the duration of the program (i.e. not expecting to graduate prior to the end of the program)
  • Meet requirements for international travel

Course credit 

Some students may be able to receive course credit for participation in Startup AdVentures if they enrol in a relevant elective topic. Please read the full program details for further information.

Application process 

Startup AdVentures have a merit-based, competitive application process. To apply, submit an online application form. A selection panel will review the applications and successful applicants will be invited to interview. All successful and unsuccessful students will be notified by email within four weeks of the application closing date.
