The inspiring startups and small-to-medium sized businesses will share in more than $1.42 million to help them tap into new markets and attract investment in new products and services developed in Queensland.
The Ignite Ideas Fund helps companies to take a viable product to market with grants of up to $200,000. The program reaches across the Queensland economy, supporting innovation in tourism, agriculture, advanced manufacturing, renewable energy, technology, engineering and construction industries.
Some of the game-changing products and services selected for the Round 10 funding include:
- an Artificial Intelligence fundraising and marketing assistant that saves time and increases productivity for fundraising and marketing teams at not-for-profits and small-to-medium businesses
- a digital toolkit to halve emissions across the animal health sector
- a zero-emission haulage solution for the construction industry, with a focus on hauling bulk products like sand and aggregates.
Since 2016, Ignite Ideas funding has supported over 400 Queensland businesses with more than $49 million, delivering over 6,000 jobs to the economy.
One of these announced startups is 2023 Ventures ilab Accelerator participant, ExtrasJar, a self-insurance investment approach to address the insurance affordability crisis. ExtrasJar was among the 11 teams that took the stage at ilab Pitch Night.
