Validate your venture and take the first steps to make it a reality.

We address the main reason why most startups fail — a product or service that does not solve a big enough problem for the right customer.

Whether you are working on a software, hardware, service or impact project, this program is the catalyst you need to prepare for rapid growth. Our team will help you test your venture towards the development of a viable business.

After the 10 week program, your team will pitch to a judging panel for a share of $10,000 in cash prizes.

Ventures Validate is designed to help you and your team develop a validated business model in an interactive learning space over 10 weekly sessions. In the workshops, you will focus on key skills and processes to enhance the likelihood of your startup's success.

Session 1. Thursday 10 March 2.30-4.30pm
Research: Let’s kick-off! This session is your opportunity to form a winning team (if you don’t already have one) and engage in secondary and primary research in preparation for the design sprint in session 2.

Session 2. Thursday 17 and Friday 18 March 12.30-4.30pm
Define Solution: Session 2 will be organised over two modules for teams to collaborate through a facilitated design sprint. This intense two-part sprint will guide you to arrive at a clear concept for your venture.

Session 3. Thursday 24 March 2.30-4.30pm
Craft Offer: In session 3, you will begin designing business models for your chosen concept, before bringing it all together in a short and compelling pitch.

Session 4. Thursday 31 March 2.30-4.30pm
Build to MVP: Session 4 is the stage where you will bring your concept to life through prototyping. Your prototype will help you gain key insights into how you deliver value to your customers.

Session 5. Thursday 7 April 2.30-4.30pm
Measure and Learn: By session 5, you will be able to take your prototype to higher levels for it to be tested with real customers. You'll also gain customer insights on usability, efficiency, and satisfaction to inform further improvements, fixes, and iterations.

Session 6. Thursday 14 April 2.30-4.30pm
Branding and Sales: Session 6 is very important for your project, as this is the stage where you will compose your brand identity, vision, and mission. You will also look at your go-to-market strategy, pricing, and sales.

Session 7. Thursday 28 April 2.30-4.30pm
Traction: In session 7 you will evaluate key metrics for your venture that show how well you are delivering value to your customers. Paying attention to this ensures the viability and growth of your business.

Session 8. Thursday 5 May 2.30-4.30pm
Iterate: At this stage, you will iterate or repeat the necessary processes to find areas of your business that can be improved, refined, or trimmed to minimise waste.

Session 9. Thursday 12 May 2.30-4.30pm
Pitch Practice: Session 9 is your last and crucial chance to gain feedback and coaching on your deliverables and pitch that you will present at the pitch showcase.

Session 10. Thursday 19 May 2.30-4.30pm
Pitch Showcase: The last session is the Pitch Showcase! This event will give the top 10 teams the chance to showcase their work to be in the running for a share of $10,000 in cash prizes.
